Live Fearlessly

Scripture Readings

Time is the most cherished gift we have been given from God. We cannot buy more of it and once it is gone, we cannot get it back. God does not guarantee how much time he will give us; he only guarantees us that if we believe in him, trust in his wisdom and live our lives according to his word then we shall be granted more time in everlasting life.

So then why are so many of us living lives of fear right now? To live in fear is to sin. Fear is a tool of darkness meant to keep you enslaved. To live in fear means that we are doubting God’s promise to us of everlasting life. We must give our worries and fears to God to have freedom from darkness, for it is only he who determines the time and the date of his judgement.

God provides all the necessary items we need to live our lives safely and he also provides the only necessary items we need to live our lives without fear: prayer and his Holy Scripture. Remember that “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy3:16. When you are afraid, look to God’s Word.

We have all been given a gift by God to live through times like these. Those who do not know God, or who are weak in their faith, will see us living lives full of light, peace and joy – free of fear and darkness because we give our worries to God. They will ask: How can you not be afraid of dying, social unrest or chastisement? This opens up an opportunity to share his word to strengthen the faith of others or to give faith to those who have none.

God has not guaranteed you tomorrow or ten minutes from now; you have only been given this moment. Right Here. Right Now. Live your life without fear. Demonstrate your faith in God’s word to others and God shall demonstrate his faith in you by granting you everlasting life.
